Learn more about Viscovery partners
Viscovery (formerly named Eudaptics) was founded by Gerhard Kranner in 1994 as a spin-off of a software research center in Vienna. After first years of technology development, the company successfully released one of the first commercial software packages world-wide for self-organizing map applications.
Funded with venture capital, the company developed the comprehensive Viscovery® Suite for explorative data mining and predictive analytics with a focus on customer behavior modeling (CBM). As early as 2000, the META Group counted Viscovery as one of the top five technological vendors of “Next Generation Data Mining” tools.
The funding period ended with the successful market introduction of the Viscovery product range and a formidable profit in 2007. In 2008, Viscovery was listed as the only data mining vendor in continental Europe in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant 2008 for Customer Data-Mining Applications”.
Viscovery was acquired in 2007 by the Biomax Group, Germany, which focuses on knowledge management solutions for the life science industry. Viscovery holds the complete former business of the data mining company and acts as a self-contained company within the Biomax group.
For many years now, Viscovery software is being used by hundreds of customers from different application areas, such as banking, insurance, telecom, industry, media, retail, as well as research organizations and universities.
